What tools do I need to make the center opening bigger?

Any common saw will work. Jig saw, sawzall, small hand saw.

My trees have a large trunk. Can I get the center opening larger?

Yes, PolyGrate™ is easily expandable in increments of 6 inches. This can be done by the contractor on site or by our factory before shipping for a small charge.

My tree pit is not the same size as your tree grates. Can I cut PolyGrate™ to fit?
A
Not recommended. The PolyGrate™ tree grate radial design is engineered to only be modified in increments of 6 inches and at strategic locations of web supports. Random cuts of PolyGrate™ will compromise the structural integrity and appearance of the tree grate. If you have a special size or need, please contact us for ideas and consultation at 800-523-6899.

Do you supply the iron frame?

No, but we can supply a PolyGrate Frame for our square and rectangle units. Support for round tree grates can be cast into the concrete or a round frame can be order from a local steel supply company.

How do you attach PolyGrate™ to the frame?
A
We do not advocate or discourage users from attaching the tree grates to the frame. We do not feel it's necessary, however, if due to vandalism or other issues, contact us at 800-523-6899 and we can recommend a security bolt solution for you.
